The award comes in the wake of a banner year for Faulkner that includes her work as Tournament Chairperson for the 2014 ITF Senior World Championships, one of the largest international Amateur Tennis Events in the world.

The tournament brought together a record 197 teams from 37 different countries for two weeks of exciting tennis competition in Palm Beach County earlier this year.

Her greatest accomplishment, she says, was winning the 55-and-over International Tennis Federation World Championship in Perth, Australia, in 2001. She’s also a five-time winner of the World Team Championship for Team U.S.A., ITF Veterans. The recipient of a WTA Special Service Award as well as the Margaret M. Faulkner has also had her share of personal victories, beating breast cancer twice.
