Les Grandes Dames wraps up at BallenIsles Country Club with great TV news coverage
PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL. JAN. 19 – WPBF news Channel 25, the ABC affiliate was at BallenIsles Country Club today to cover the Les Grandes Dames Senior International Women’s Tennis Tournament which featured the USA World Team Championships winners in 2011 in the 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s age groups among the nationally ranked senior women tennis players competing this week. The previous year’s tournament received great news coverage from WPTV-TV, the local NBC affiliate station.
Presented by TAIL Activewear Inc., the tournament that has come to exemplify a legacy for the sport of tennis was hosted at the Club’s new state-of-the-art Sports Complex.
“This international event is the first of the season for the nationally ranked senior women players and features world ranked tennis players in the 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, and 80 age divisions,” said Tournament Director and BallenIsles Tennis Director, Trish Faulkner.
Les Grandes Dames has been elevated to a top level international veterans tour stop by the United States Tennis Association (USTA).
