BOCA RATON, Fla., Sept. 15 — NewsMark Public Relations today announced it has been retained by the Florida Grassroots Project (FLGRP) for strategic communications counsel as the non-profit organization embarks on a statewide campaign to register every voter.

“We’re honored to have been selected to publicize such a worthy undertaking by an organization of people who are really prepared to roll up their sleeves and make a difference at the grassroots level,” said Mark Hopkinson, a former media strategist for the British government and CEO of NewsMark Public Relations.

“The passion, integrity and experience demonstrated by NewsMark Public Relations made the agency our top selection to guide the communications strategies of the Florida Grassroots Project,” said FLGRP Executive Director, Lisa Ramsay.

Under its slogan “Educate — Motivate For a Better America,” the Florida Grassroots Project is engaging young people on their own turf on the importance of being more active and passionate about their roles in the community.

“We’re fanning out across the state to high school and college campuses, to rock concerts, churches and community events, registering young people to vote and underlining the consequences of inaction,” Ramsay added.

“We want to engage young people as to why their vote counts and keep on engaging them,” Ramsay said.

Upcoming events include a tri-county voter registration awareness day on October 11th at Borders Books in Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties.
